This one is important. If you are serious about your site’s rankings, you gotta be sensitive to any changes to URLs.

Let’s get this clear first up - when you convert your site to WordPress, it’s URLs change. This is because, like any other platform out there, it uses its own algorithm to generate URLs. But that does not means that your site will lose ranks or user bookmarks with go dud. That is why we use 301 Redirects to pass on ranks and URLs from old site to your new WordPress site. It is the most organic way of telling Google and its ilk that the site has moved on to new URLs. In short - your ranks will stay where they are and the site will be good for it since WordPress allows extra control to manage SEO of your site. Check out All In One SEO, one of the popular WordPress SEO plugins out there.
